Last year the Imaging Lab digitised the Sawalo manuscript (Museum Mayer van den Bergh) in close collaboration with Prof. Lieve Watteeuw (Illuminare). The book, a lesser known manuscript in the collection of Fritz Mayer van den Bergh, is a twelfth-century Evangeliarium illuminated by a follower of the Master of Sawalo, an anonymous artist who raised the art of illumination to a new level.

The manuscript will be on display in a focus exhibition in the Museum Mayer van den Bergh from the 9th October 2015 to the 31st of March 2016.  It will also be possible to leaf through the manuscript digitally.
